ONE OR TWO THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW About We Know Ohio

A Writing Team Like No Other

David Meyers and his daughter Elise Meyers Walker began co-writing books shortly after she graduated from college. Many people have wondered how they could possibly work so closely together, but they have found that it's their differences that make the books work so well.

Off the Beaten Path

We Know Ohio writes the books we would like to read if someone had only written them. For example, we were the first to write about the Society of the Banana & Faithful Friends in Ohio's Black Hand Syndicate: The Birth of Organized Crime in America.

Branding

Since the beginning, We-Know-Ohio has operated under the collective name Exploding Stove Media, which was what Beverly Meyers, David's wife, called her business when she was doing marketing for a well-know circus. However, in 2024, we decided to start our own book publishing arm under that name. Exploding Stove Media will offer  semi-fictional historic novels, biographies, and whatever else suits our fancy. For more information on how we got to this point, refer to the ExplodingStove.Com button (below).
